Software requirements

• The eAIP has been tested with Firefox 3.0, and other same-generation browsers should work equally well.
  The latest version of Firefox can be downloaded from the Firefox website.
• Adobe Acrobat Reader version 5.0.5 (or higher) is required to view and print PDF-documents.
  The latest version of the Acrobat Reader can be downloaded from the Adobe website.
• Scripting used: Javascript version.

How to use the eAIP

Navigate the eAIP by using the table of contents in the left frame. Click the section titles to move to the selected section and reveal its subsections.

Menu

At the top in the left frame the following options are displayed:

• PDF
  Loads the PDF version of the selected eAIP-section.
  Always print the PDF page, as HTML pages are not optimised for printing.
• Help
  Displays this page.
• Feedback
  Provides feedback through direct email contact.
• State Name Control
  Links to the website of the publishing organisation
• Select effective date Combobox
  Links to the eAIP Website of the baseline that the current eAIP based on

Amendments

Amendment information is not shown by default. To see what has changed on a page, check the box in the top right corner of the right frame to make the changes visible. Loading these changes may take some time.

The AMDT-tab contains a detailed list of all changes. Here deleted text is marked with a left arrow (<-) , inserted text with a right arrow (->) and modified text with a vertical line ( | ) .

In the right frame the changes are marked as follows:

• Inserted text has a light pink background.
• Deleted text has a dark pink background and is striked through.
• Point at the changed text to see its effective date.

AIP navigation menu, containing:

• AIP tab
  Displays the eAIP table of contents.
• AMDT tab
  Displays the list of changes on the current AIP Amendment.
• SUPs tab
  Displays the checklist of AIP Supplements.
• AICs tab
  Displays the list of AIP Circulars.
• Search tab
  Search a word (or more) in the AIP Sections.

AIP tab

The AIP tab contains the table of contents of the full AIP published within the current eAIP.

Clicking on a + or - sign will show or hide a sub-level of section titles

Clicking on a section title will open the relevant section in the eAIP window

The effective date of the full eAIP issue is shown at the top of the table of contents.

AMDT tab

The AMDT tab contains links [in the form of a blue triangle] to each AMDT change in the AIP. If there are no AMDTs in the eAIP, the list of changes is empty.

AMDTs can be shown in grouped sections, or can be shown in one large section of "Miscellaneous" changes

SUPs tab

The SUPs tab lists currently published AIP Supplements. Each Supplement is shown with:

• Number/Year
• A link to the AIP section (or sections) affected
• Displays the checklist of AIP Supplements
• Period of validity
• Subject title of the SUP

The publication date of this list of Supplements is shown at the top of the list.

AICs tab

The AICs tab lists currently published AIP Circulars. Each circular is shown with:

• Number/Year
• Publicaion date
• AIC Series [if applicable]
• Subject title of the AIC

The publication date of this list of Circulars is shown at the top of the list.

Search tab

To perform a search simply enter one or more search terms in the "Search For" dialog box and click the "Start" button.

The Search tab will then display the number of eAIP files that contain the matching text, and a list of hypertext links to those eAIP files.

If the "All words" check box is ticked tick, the results will be a conjuntive search, where only documents matching all the search terms will be listed.

For example, searching for :"enr gen" with the check box ticked tick will only display documents containing both "enr" and "gen".

Graphics and Charts

This eAIP contains graphics and charts in various electronic formats. The following list indicate the tools needed for each format.

• PNG, GIF, JPEG: all Web browsers are expected to support these formats.
• PDF: A PDF file reader must be installed to display PDF files.
